I have bonding on my teeth for the same reason. I’ve had them for a number of years now. The process did not hurt at all and they’ve never given me any trouble. I do recommend keeping up on the professional cleanings though, because the bonding material I have will stain a bit at the edges. (I went through a period of no insurance.)
